Will my data ever leave the Nordics?
No. Storage and replication happen only in Google Cloud regions in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
Why three regions?
Three copies in three countries protect against outages, natural disasters and local incidents. Your data stays available even if an entire data centre goes down.
Is Dovre GDPR compliant?
Dovre is designed with GDPR in mind: data stays in the EU/EEA, you get a data processing agreement, and you have full control over deletion and access.
Can I use my own encryption keys?
Yes. You can use keys managed by us, or bring your own customer-managed keys.
