Dovre

About

Named after a mountain that doesn't move.

Dovrefjell is the mountain range at the heart of Norway. In 1814, the men at Eidsvoll swore to stand together “until the mountains of Dovre crumble”. We think that's a fair standard for keeping data.

01The name

Enige og tro, til Dovre faller.

“United and loyal, until the mountains of Dovre crumble.” The closing words of the Norwegian constituent assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814 are about commitments that outlast the people who make them. Storing someone else's data is that kind of commitment.

What we won't compromise on.

These are the rules we build Dovre by. If a feature would break one, we don't ship it.

Residency isn't an add-on or an enterprise tier. Every byte stays in Sweden, Finland or Norway.

    SE / FI / NO
  2. 2.2

    Encryption isn't optional

Everything is encrypted at rest and in transit. There is no switch to turn it off.

    AES-256
  3. 2.3

    Your data, your rules

You decide who has access, how long data is kept, and when it is deleted.

    ACL
  4. 2.4

    Plain language

We explain where your data is and who can reach it, in words your board and your auditors both understand.
